Orientation meeting with prospective new members took place on 30th July 2014 at the Lebanese Restaurant in Park Royal, London.
the prospective members were informed on what Lions do, not only locally but worldwide and given a brief on the structure of Lions Clubs International.
The ones who attended had a very relaxed and enjoyable time and are looking forward to forming a new club probably in October 2014.

Every Lions Club perform handovers and inductions, but what is intriguing about this induction at Wanstead and Woodford Lions Club is that the two new members are Rotarians who have now joined Lions.
Harvinder Singh Virdee who is no longer a Rotarian was sponsored by Lion Harbinder Manku and Narinder Singh Mann who remains a Rotarian was sponsored by Lion Tejsatwant Singh Bansal.

Volunteers required to help at
Senior Citizens Celebration 2014
District 105A require volunteers to help at the the Senior Citizens Celebrations, Sunday 2nd February 2014, at Harrow Leisure Centre, Christchurch Avenue, Middlesex Harrow, HA3 5BD from 8am onwards.
If you and your fellow Lions, Lionesses and Leo's (or any friends and family) can volunteer your time, can you please register your name, contact telephone and email address with our committee member Lion Minesh Mehta and also provide him with the timings you can help from and till when.
The event will finish at approximately 5pm but there will be work till 6pm.Various duties will be allocated on the day once you have registered but we also need specific helpers for unloading / loading in the morning and evening.

Wembley Lions race to help local scouts group
September 2013: Wembley (Brent) Lions Club has presented a cheque for £650 to the 8th Kenton Scouts Group.The amount was raised at a “Race Night” held jointly by both Wembley (Brent) Lions and the Scouts Group. More than 100 people supported the evening held at the scout centre on Kenton Road. The same evening the Lions Club also celebrated its handover ceremony.

thanks of appreciation for children's ward donation
Four members of Hammersmith & Shepherds Bush Lions club met with the Matron of Chelsea & Westminster Children’s Ward Gareth Teakle in recognition of the club’s help in raising much needed funds.
The funds were used to purchase equipment for the children’s therapy rooms and play areas and the parent’s room. Equipment worth £2,635 was donated to the children’s ward by Hammersmith & Shepherds Lions.
New Lions club London Park Royal joins District 105a family
London Park Royal formation took place at the Bridge Hotel, Greenford, on 15th February 2013, with an array of District Officers present.District Governor John Savell, IstVDG Sarbjit Assi and 2ndVDG Ramesh Parmar were present to witness the swearing in of 21 new members. Instrumental in the club's creation was Zone E Chair Ravina Rattan. However the new club is being sponsored by Lions Club of Acton in Zone D.

Senior Citizens Celebration brings Lions
teamwork together at Harrow Leisure Centre
On 3rd February 2013 over 700 senior citizens took up a Lions Clubs invitation to party at the Harrow Leisure Centre. Lions Clubs from around the District including Edgware, Harrow & Pinner, Acton, Chipping Barnet, Mill Hill, Hadley Wood, Osterley, Bletchley, Belmont, Luton, and many other Lions clubs sponsored tables of 10 senior citizens. Lions, Leo, friends and partners indulged to put the event together.

London Park Royal to join Lions family
A new Lions Club is set to join the Lions family in District 105A. Formation night is Friday 15th February 2013, at the Bridge Hotel, Western Avenue, Greenford, at 7.30 for 8.00pm start. The cost for the evening is £12 which includes a buffet comprising sandwiches, canopies, soft drink, tea and coffee. Sponsoring Lions Club London Acton, welcomes this new club into Zone D and invites as many people as possible to attend and support its formation.
